ok, everyone keeps telling me that i look like i've lost so much weight. that's great and all, but i'm wondering: how fat did i look before? sheesh.

and don't you hate it when you get something on your shirt and you try to wash it off and it just makes it worse? lovely.

so i chickened out and only asked him to lunch with our group tomorrow. he seemed pretty responsive, though. but maybe he likes my group. i don't know. i've been trying to invent reasons i would have to go over to his building so i could casually stroll by his desk. this might work if his desk wasn't in the corner and it was even possible to casually stroll by it. sheesh. if nothing else, once (if) hockey season starts up this year, i plan to invite him over to watch a game. well, if he's still speaking to me by then! :) and if the players strike and make the season start late, i will be extra peeved! but it's all good.

is anyone else out there watching the 4400 on USA? is it really ending on sunday? it's only been on for like, a month. was it only a miniseries? then why did they introduce new characters? sheesh.

have you ever listened to one song over and over and over and over? well, today that song is "one thing" by finger eleven. i love it! but i expect i'll get sick of it any time now.

lots to think about. gonna go.

just me

dude! it goes against every fiber of my being, but should i just ask him out? since he hasn't asked me out, does that mean he's not interested, so i should just forget it? hmm... something to ponder. and what's really weird is that this thought just all of a sudden popped into my head about 2 hours ago. i hadn't even thought of him for weeks before that. and now i get this flash. what's up with that?!?

the incompetence of people around here is appaulingly staggering. i just had a meeting with my boss who said that she didn't remember us agreeing that i would take 2 weeks off for my tonsillectomy. well, before i went, i told her the dates i'd be gone and arranged for extra leave, so i think if she can't do the math to figure out that june 23 - 12 july is 2 1/2 weeks, she has bigger problems than me taking time off. and now she wants a note from my doctor saying that i needed the whole 2 weeks off. and "you're supposed to get your leave request form approved before you take leave". well, i'm sorry if i ASSUMED that our extensive conversations about it and the arrangements that were made were approval enough. i know better than to not get stuff in writing, so i don't know why i spaced it this time. she makes me want to say bad words. REALLY bad words.

and have you ever noticed that in minesweeper, you never hit a bomb on the first click? not that i've played a lot lately...
